Pina's performance TENCHI means heaven and earth. These are also the contrasts that JUURI associates with Tokyo and Japan - the country between tradition and modernity. JUURI tries to balance these opposites in her artwork. A diagonal design meant to evoke Pina's dynamic dance. She interprets the cherry blossom petals that fell during the performance as snow. And the indicated flag refers to Japan.”
